Events and Initiatives

slide1Every year members of the MYPAC Committee volunteer their time to engage students, faculty and alumni in various learning and networking opportunities.  We start the year off with a guest lecture or presentation to Master's of Environmental Studies (Planning) students during York University's Graduate Orientation week.  Luncheons, speaker series and student scholarship awards are just a few of the initiatives underway, culminating in the annual summer social, held every year in June.  If you have an idea for an event or would like to be a part of the MYPAC community send an email to mypac.executive@gmail.com.

January 2017

MYPAC kicked of the new year with a lunch and learn for students. City of Toronto Planner and MES Alumni of 06' Oren Tamir, welcomed 10 students from the planning stream of the Master in Environmental Studies program to Toronto City Hall.  The lunch and learn introduced students to the process of City Planning, the Ontario Municipal Board and what makes a great planner.  MYPAC is thankful for the passionate Alumni who volunteer their time to give back to the students at York and for the opportunity to connect students to the profession of planning in Ontario.
